Billy Talent’s new album, Billy Talent III, will be released in Canada on Tuesday July 14, 2009. In addition to the standard 11 track single CD version of the album, fans have the option of purchasing a deluxe version that includes two wall posters with the guitar tabs for every song on the album as well as a second disc in which the guitar parts have been wiped off the recordings so that budding young guitarists can play along once they’ve learned the songs. The second disc also contains a number of demos of songs that eventually made it on to Billy Talent III.
Billy Talent guitarist Ian D’sa has confounded young fans with his opening tuning style of playing and now with the deluxe edition of Billy Talent III a lot of the guessing will be eliminated as guitarists will be able to see exactly what he plays on the album. The tablature posters illustrate everything from Ian’s tunings, to his chord structures and guitar solos – an invaluable tool for anyone wanting to learn how to play these songs.
