The Maharishi Tactical, an update of Palladium’s Pampa Tactical boot, was inspired by ‘special forces and survival’ to compliment Maharishi’s Fall/Winter 2011 runway collection. The Maharishi Tactical is technical yet simplified – the boot’s distinctive highlight is the incorporation of Schoeller Dynatec™, a stunningly reflective Swiss-made textile made for harsh weather conditions and featured in the back panels of the boot.

On October 24th, 2011, 17 North Parade commemorates the life and music of Gregory Isaacs with Reggae Anthology: The Ruler 1972-1990, an extensive 40-track collection of Isaacs’ timeless hits, plus a special bonus DVD featuring the iconic reggae veteran singing feverously on stage at The Brixton Academy in 1984. The extraordinary set also features detailed liner notes and rare photographs of Gregory Isaacs during his prime.
Gregory Isaacs, dubbed “The Cool Ruler” for his trademark smoothness and wistful crooning matched with a rebel demeanor and dapper style, was a pivotal pioneer of lovers’ rock music and also created some of the most timeless roots and dancehall anthems throughout his 40-year career. During the 1970s and 1980s, he pumped out album after album with a massive string of hits, including “My Only Lover,” “Let’s Dance,” “Soon Forward” and “Night Nurse.” He even made a small cameo in the classic 1978 reggae film Rockers as the locksmith and later performed his song “Slave Master.” He continued to tour across the globe and record throughout the 1990s. This Reggae Anthology chronicles his most crucial hits from 1972-1990 and exudes the essence of this innovative lyricist and exemplifies why he is known The Ruler.

“AT THIS POINT IN MY LIFE IM IN A TIME OF HURT AND STRUGGLE.
I WAKE UP TO MENTAL PAIN AND ANGER, AND GO TO SLEEP STRESSED AND TIRED.
I AM THE TYPE OF PERSON THAT DOESN’T EXPECT A BLESSING, BUT I AM ALWAYS GRATEFUL WHEN THEY DO COME.
JUST LOVE WHO YOU HAVE, AND NOT WHAT YOU HAVE. MOST OF THE TIME THE ONLY PERSON YOU REALLY HAVE IS, YOU.
DON’T FORGET THAT.
I AM A 20 YEAR OLD NEW ORLEANS NATIVE LIVING IN ATLANTA, GA. NOW ALONE DUE TO THE DEATH OF MY EARLY MOTHER, CHIQ SIMMS. SO NOW THERE IS A NEW LEVEL OF STRUGGLE I’M BEING FACED WITH, BUT BECAUSE YOUR TALENT IS YOUR RELEASE THIS PROJECT IS THE PRODUCT OF WHAT I’VE COME FROM.”

Brother Nature (Bam Circa 86 & Real J Wallace) have been hustling and rocking shows together for about 4 years. They are a Hip Hop group from San Diego, California spreading positive vibes and raw rhymes. Nikes (JustDoit) is the first single from their Niggas Nikes & Newports mixtape. Niggas Nikes & Newports is a social commentary regarding similar corporations and their involvement in corrupting, influencing, and consuming urban culture. The early 90′s in particular was a time when young blacks were getting shot and robbed for their Nikes (their Soles), and Nikes is also infamous for using child labor to create shoes. Nikes are still dope as fvck, but their franchise just like other corporations has favored net profit, without regard to the effects of their products. Newports have obviously been killing people for decades, and when looking at the bigger picture Nikes &Newports have a lot more in common than just their logo. Niggas Nikes & Newports attempts to explain the connection between, well Niggas, Nikes & Newports. Brother Nature needs your assistance in getting our music and message out and about by word of mouth. We would appreciate a feature on your blog, or for you to tell three people about us. We are also available for interviews, events, and shows, to come kick it n chilll and ect. We really just love to rap and have a good time. Peace&Jah Bless. Honest Management presents the official full length video from Chicago producer/emcee Rashid Hadee for his buzz record entitled The Dreamer. This very cinematically Hip Hop piece was directed by Thaione Davis of JUSTANOTHERCANVAS. The visuals to The Dreamer are best described as an artistic snap shot of movement, expression and passionate delivery by Rashid Hadee the emcee, combined with a myriad of beautifully captured back drops of Chicago’s downtown. The Windy City skyline plays the co-star in this dramatic, yet sincere outcry by the artist who also doubles as the producer of the track. The Dreamer is Rashid Hadee’s testament and he is screaming it at the top of his lungs, in effort to convince all who are in ear shot. Rashid Hadee had this to say about his well received single; The Dreamer: “The blogs showed the trailer to the video love and I really appreciate it and hope they show the official video even more but I want to let everyone know, The Dreamer is not the first single to my upcoming album Aural Sex: The Search for Pinky Tuscadero. It’s just something to hold my supporters down until I hit them with the official official! I’ve been gone for a minute so I feel I owe them a little extra”. Regardless of The Dreamer being an official single or a teaser single/video, it’s something new from the very creative and talented producer/emcee and here for the world to enjoy.
The song is called Two Face–one of my favourite songs on the album. It’s a song about the repercussions and anger involved in rejection and the loss of love. I wanted to get a video that captured not only how love can cause pain, and harm a persons life, but how that pain can poison the lives of those around, as well.

Wrote the night of Troy Davis’ execution, “In Just Us” is Ayatollah Jaxx’ offering on the topic of victims of America’s corrupted judicial system. Commentary such as “Who would spin a tune if it snitched about Chris Wallace” and “If Jesus was here, would he vote republican?” is made over the “Road To Zion” instrumental and features audio of Troy Davis’ last speech before being executed.
