Shwayze & Cisco Premiere Video for “Drunk Off Your Love” feat. Sky Blu of LMFAO

Shwayze & Cisco premiered the music video for their song “Drunk Off Your Love” feat. Sky Blu. “Drunk Off Your Love” is the second single released off their latest album, “Island In The Sun”, which debuted August 13th.
The video features Sky Blu of LMFAO, Ron Jeremy, Pauly Shore, skateboarder Greg Lutzka, and snowboarder Mason Aguirre.
“The making of this video was a nonstop party with a carnival’s worth of characters stopping by,” Cisco told AOL Music. “Where else can you find Ron Jeremy and Pauly Shore at the same party as Olympic snowboarders and the best skaters in the world? I think it’s the perfect visual for the song. Fun, sexy, and a little bit tipsy. Bananabeat to the fullest! Good music and good people getting down!” he added.

Socalled || Work With What You Got

Everyone in this world is different, and SOCALLED is here to help you bring out your true inner self. Just releasing his new, already viral video for “Work With What You Got,” just before the weekend, the stunning piece has received over 33,000 views (and counting!) on Vimeo. And its only the beginning…

Featuring three children that are having a bit of trouble adjusting to their out-of-the-norm looks, SOCALLED takes them by the hand and shows them that it’s okay to be different. Actually, he helps them embrace it with a song and a dance! The kids finally realize that its okay to be just who you are without trying to be what others think you should be.

The video is arty, and fun, and is a good lesson for not only children, but for adults as well. Accept who you are. You need to work with what you got. SOCALLED is dead on with his advice to the world. The vibrant colors, and drawn in character additions help bring the video to life. Featured on the track are also vocals and work from Roxanne Shante, The Mighty Sparrow, and Boban Markovic. This is a combination that will literally blow your mind, so don’t miss out on this all around stellar piece.

For those of you who have never witnessed the SOCALLED experience, Josh Dolgin mixes a concoction of sound that boils down to funk meets hip hop meets indie electronica. SOCALLED is melody dashing and crashing through all parts of the musical spectrum. He doesn’t shy from embracing his Jewish roots and delves into the realm of Klezmer, all the while continuously putting out hip, danceable tunes and walking (and sometimes straddling) the fine line between absurd and genius.

A pianist, producer, composer, arranger, rapper, singer, journalist, photographer, filmmaker, magician, cartoonist and puppet maker; SOCALLED is all of the above and more. Recently releasing his fourth album Sleeopver, its now the time for SOCALLED to show the world what he has to offer. Get ready folks, it is going to be a long and exciting ride.

MP3: hasHBrown – “Break The Chain” Ft. Guilty Simpson

With the November 30th release of his sophomore album, Break Something, fast approaching, hasHBrown is keeping fans satiated with a bevy of new music from the LP. Late last month hasH delivered his lead single “The Death Penalty,” and now, the Houston rapper/producer is excited to release the album’s second single, “Break The Chain,” featuring Detroit rapper Guilty Simpson.

On the track, co-produced with Chris Rockaway (hB makes beats under the alas Jett I. Masstyr), hasHBrown gets both spiritual and aggressive as he criticizes his own culture in a thought-provoking manner. “I’m speaking about whether enslaved ancestors would be proud of what we’ve made from the debts they paid,” explains hasHBrown. “No matter what our circumstances or obstacles we face, we still have the opportunity to do better.” For Guilty Simpson, being a part of the song was a pleasure, and, according to hasH, the Detroit rapper was “happy to finally get a feature that was ‘talking about something.’ It made me feel like he respected my vision,” explains hasH on working with Guilty, “just to get him on a record was a great experience.”

Traction Ft. Kenton Dunson

Kenton’s first Hip Hop collaboration titled “Traction” between the Denver Hip Hop collective The Foodchain and himself. The track will be off The Foodchain’s upcoming sophomore album Brunch dropping this Friday, Nov. 11th. The collective has previously collaborated with the likes of Talib Kweli, Big Pooh, Chaundon, and Joe Scudda and in my opinion some of the best Hip Hop to come out of Colorado for a long time.
