With only one week until the November 30th release of hasHBrown’s new album, Break Something, the Houston-based rapper/producer stays busy, giving fans yet another single from the project. In the past weeks, hasH has released the video for “Heaven,” not to mention his collaboration with Detroit’s Guilty Simpson on the song “Break The Chain,” and now, hasH is excited to unveil his latest single, “This Is It,” which also features singer Dannie Walker on the chorus.
“The main inspiration was going out on the town and knowing that at this ‘one spot’ you were going to hear good music, no matter what,” explains hasHBrown. “Some venues and events are known for their nightlife party atmosphere but what draws me in to going out to a bar or lounge is if I know that I’m going to hear dope music while I party.” And in telling his story, hasH keeps things creative with a feel good track, one that maybe extends a little beyond his core audience, but also one that allows the up-and-coming do-it-all to avoid having his music put into a box.

Pages unleashes a blatant challenge to all pseudo-rappers and Hip-Hop posers with the release of his latest single, “Mainstream Nightmare.” The song features strong yet soothing vocals by Juliet, contrasting the edginess of Pages’ lyrics and backed by the glitch-heavy drums and eerie, distorted sounds of Nick Fury (of Liquid Shields), whose resume includes production with the likes of Anthony B., Ras Kass, Skam2?, Omniscient, and countless others. Pages has spent the last several years making his mark in the South Florida scene with consistent shows alongside the Out Of Hand band, who, together, have created a nationwide movement coined “Hip-Hop-N-Roll,” merging the worlds of Indie Hip-Hop, Alternative Rock, and Skating. Look out for more from Pages in the upcoming months, including the official music video to “Mainstream Nightmare,” which was partially filmed underwater and contains heavy, cinematic visuals.

Notoriety is a two man group consisting of emcees Vital Silveira: Vydle Sinez and Charles Monfort: Incredible Chuck. Growing up down the street from each other, Vydle and Chuck had been close friends, almost like brothers, since the two were children. Each had come in connection with their passion for music at an early age as the pair had unique/individual talents to showcase this – Chuck rapping/…beatboxing on the street and in talent shows, and Vydle rhyming /developing a matured flow early on. As the years built, the friendship grew, and the abilities escalated, Notoriety soon emerged in 2009. Along with several singles, Notoriety currently has three mixtapes available for download: “The Toast”, “The J.A.M. (Just A Mixtape)”, and “Part Deux (Hosted By Statik Selektah)” which was released on Valentine’s Day of 2011. The group writes daily, records weekly, and all production, recording, mixing/mastering, and business takes place in-house, independently. As surreal as it seems, Notoriety stays humble and remains proud to be able to do what they love, even having a fan base that consistently gives approval.
Honest Management presents the latest video from super producer/emcee Rashid Hadee. This time around, the man behind the boards and the mic, teams up with hometown Chicago veterans The Primeridian, for a groovy ride through the caverns of thought called Night Train. It’s been a minute since two of Chicago’s finest came together to drop a little something for the thinkers. In the first verse, Rashid Hadee takes a stand for the career choice he made and let it be known that everybody doesn’t have to travel the same path to get to their desired destination. While Race and Simeon continue their theme of keeping the word play intelligent, prolific and real. Night Train feels like an Amtrak ride back to a time when Hip Hop made you think just as hard as it makes you move. Once again, the visuals were handled beautifully by Rashid Hadee’s director of choice, Thaione Davis of justanothercanvas. On his route to becoming a musical master chef, Rashid Hadee is sharing some flavorful recipe’s. Just add 3 cups of emcee, a dash of train yard, a hint of Windy City and you get Night Train. “Let the groove take you for a ride…”
