After wrapping up a 25-city US tour with Hip-Hop Icon Canibus this past year, as well as appearing alongside Snoop Dogg, George Clinton, & Killah Priest on the Headhunters “Platinum” album and Kurupt’s “The Academy” compilation, South Carolina native/Indianapolis transplant Jaecyn Bayne is ready to release his debut album Audio Therapy.
Signed to renowned Jazz label “Owl Studios”, Bayne’s Audio Therapy is slated for a 4-24-2012 release date and will feature guest appearances from Styles P, Fred the Godson, Canibus & Keith Murray alongside production from Streetrunner and Bronze Nazareth among others. Audio Therapy is another masterpiece under the A&R umbrella of Matthew “M80” Markoff whose credits include works for Wu-Tang, Canibus, Kurupt, The Undergods, Planet Asia & more.
Jaecyn has already accomplished so much, but for an artist who is about to release his debut effort he’s very aware of his surroundings as he states, “Its not easy being a new contender in such a vast arena. I’m thankful for the amazing strides I have been able to make in such a short period of time and look forward to what the future holds in terms of growth and progress. Audio Therapy represents my way of coping with the struggles of being an artist on the brink of success, though held back by own my devices. I believe the album is going to provide the cure for a lot of like-minded people who are going through a lot of the same struggles I’ve endured; and currently endure to this day while trying to plant my feet as a breakout artist.”
In addition, to the release of his debut LP, Bayne will also be releasing a free mixtape and Audio Therapy’s first video “Family Thing” which is expected to debut in March and he will be embarking on a US tour with the likes of Canibus, Planet Asia, & Rusty Redenbacher (ATFU).
The first leak from Jaecyn Bayne’s debut LP Audio Therapy can be heard here:

Kurtis Blow Jr. (aka Kurtis Cloud) has been grinding, putting out album quality music that he feels his fans deserve over the past few years, and his hard work is finally paying off. He has a world wide tour locked in, reaching from Europe to Japan, dates on Bad Boy’s own Machine Gun Kelly’s “Hostile Takeover” tour with Tech N9ne, all which will assist him in reaching new crowds. To coincide with all his touring Kurtis plans to introduce to the world his first EP “Champagne Dreams & Purple Clouds”, an iconoclastic hip-hop project that was inspired by Pink Floyd’s “Dark Side of the Moon”, slated to drop mid first quarter. To celebrate the World Wide release of CDPC Kurtis is debuting the first video from the project for the single “Blowed”.
This EP will be a re-release of his sophomore mixtape, which was well received on HotNewHipHop, DatPiff, Live Mixtapes, and many other hip-hop sites, but wasn’t properly introduced to the fans that Kurtis has accumulated from years of touring with his father. There was no sophomore jinx, only progression. There was no major label backing, just fans. No gimmicks, just artistry. It was hailed as a great follow up to his first mixtape installment entitled “Californication”, released roughly a year ago, which gained Blow Jr. the notoriety that would eventually prove that he has the wherewithal to hold his own among his up and coming peers. “Californication” included a feature from Drake, a lot of high end production, including a track from Boi-1da, and led to a feature in the June 2011 issue of XXL. His incipient projects and local buzz also attracted T. Slack, Drake’s former manager, and led to a management deal with his company.
2012 is already shaping up to be a great and productive year for Kurtis; he can’t wait to get out on the road so he can finally be able to touch and interact with his fans that have been holding him down for the past couple of years.
