UFC 156: Jose Aldo defeats Frankie Edgar, and Bigfoot Sliva KO’s Overeem

In the only bout that did not feature a Brazilian fighter, Jose Benavidez used his quickness and conditioning to win a decision over Ian McCall in their flyweight match up. Next up was BJJ specialist Demian Maia squaring off against UFC veteran Jon Fitch. From the start of this match Maia dominated, quickly rushing Fitch gaining control, and having Fitch battle to prevent from being submitted or choked out. It was Maia’s third fight as a welter, and he improved to 3-0 in the class, while also proving to everyone that he is a new face to reckoned with at 170lbs.

One of the most anticipated bouts of the night, was Alistair Overeem vs. Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva. Most oddmakers had Overeem as the heavy favorite, and many were tuning in to see the Dutch striker waltz through Bigfoot, it proved to be just the opposite. Overeem acted cocky throughout the bout, leaving his hands down and showing no respect for Bigfoots striking ability. In contrast, Bigfoot Silva was more of the aggressor putting together great combinations that eventually led to him scoring a KO of Overeem in round 2. Former Light-heavyweight champion Rashad Evans lost a decision to Lil Nog. Many talked about how great Nog’s hands were, and that they shouldn’t be taken lightly by Evans. Evans danced throughout much of the fight, landing punches that were more like love taps on Lil Nog. In contrast, Nog established his range and used a still jab to keep Evans off balance at times. The judges all saw it going Nog’s way with his significant strikes out weighing Evans. In the Main Event, Aldo put his belt on the line against former Lightweight Champion Frankie Edgar. Aldo dominated the first two rounds, but Edgar started to turn it on the last two. When the smoke cleared two judges had it 49-46 Aldo, while one had it 48-47 Aldo. Jose Aldo is quickly becoming one of the world’s best pound for pound MMA fighters.

Abstrakt Idea- “Beats, Blunts & Burgers Vol.2″ (Limited free giveaway)

“The follow up to his incredible 2011 Lunatick Records release; Beats, Blunts & Burgers Volume 2 sees Icelandic producer Abstrakt Idea take a more electronic approach with his music, whilst still retaining the signature boom-bap sound which has gained him accolades from renowned Hip-Hop producers and artists including Chief (Feelinmusic), Charmingly Ghetto and many more.

Entirely instrumental, with the exception of one track featuring legendary emcee Sadat X of Brand Nubian, Abstrakt has once again showcased why he is one of the most in demand names in the European beat scene, the heavy-hitting drums of tracks such as Up High are juxtaposed perfectly with the laid-back, smooth style that he has exhibited so well in the past with tracks like Madagascar. He even shows his range with Casino Royale, a production much more reminiscent of classic Chicago house than Abstrakt’s typical Hip-Hop style.”

Singer Humaira Releases Video For New Single “Put It On Me”

Born December 15, 1989, Humaira has been writing since the early age of 7. She grew up in Bedfordshire, UK, and later relocated to Kent. Her journey for music began after hearing the voice, of female Hindi singer, Lata Mangheshkar. From that moment, Humaira knew that she had strong passion for music.

Humaira attend the ‘Rishi Rich Academy’ which gave her the opportunity to meet inspiring artists and producers, and get an insight into the reality of the music industry. Having a mentor like ‘Rishi Rich’ (Asian Producer and founder of Jay Sean), educated her further to reach her dream. At the academy, a close relationship was developed with Rishi and members of the label ‘Rishi Rich Productions’. While attending the academy, every lesson involved vocal training taught by the talented producer/singer/songwriter/rapper ‘Vee Breezy’. Having worked with artists such as Ray-J and Lee Ryan (from ‘Blue’), he was incredibly inspiring.

After completing of the academy, Humaira was lucky enough to meet the very talented producer, songwriter and musician ‘Michael Angelo’. Michael recognised Humaira’s potential, after working with her, and he could easily see how dedicated and thirsty she was to be successful. It wasn’t long until he decided to take her under his ‘wing’. With his talent, knowledge of the industry and support, he helped his Artist evolve into the Musical Artist she is today.

Music is something amazing we ‘make’ from the heart….for some it’s the road to ‘Paradise’.
