Live from Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, I bring you my new joint, a freestyle over Iron Galaxy, which I have brilliantly named “Iron Galaxy Freestyle.” It’s a spiritual tribute to one of the last classic joints in hip hop, Cannibal Ox’s Cold Vein. I really hope you enjoy it because I put my heart, guts, and unmentionables into this one.

After a few delays, KYLE releases the much hyped music video for his single “Keep It Real” produced by Carnage. Directed by Jakon Owens & Nolan Smith, the video provides a picture into the life of KYLE and shows what being real actually is, which is to be who you really are. The song is second single off his debut album Beautiful Loser due to be released in the near future.
Billionaire B links up with Jonathas and OVOXO’s The Weeknd to bring you this dark, moody, sort-of love song that shows you that love is off kilter, strange and everything but balanced. You LOVED the song, now here’s the visuals! The video was shot in Vancouver and you can catch Billionaire B next month at the South By Southwest music festival as an official performing artist!
This song ( Ode 2 My HeART) I created for the love of my life… music. I created it short in length so the listener could play it constantly on repeat and marinate on the words spoken and even give birth to new thoughts. To many of you who were unaware that I handled all singing duties on my prior records this will be new to you as I am only singing on this short piece. I hope when you play it you will allow thoughts for the love of your life, whatever that may be to take control.
Like any piece of art its a mash up of a lifetime of influences. I seem to wear my influences quite literally. You can hear that The beats are straight up Classic electro. Electro tracks which influenced me in my teens were Hashim-Al-Naafiysh (The Soul), Cybotron -Clear,
Afrika Bambaataa & The Soul Sonic Force-Planet Rock. And artists like Kraftwerk, Aux 88, Drexia, Whodini.
The pads were blatantly inspired by Angelo Badalamenti’s Twin peaks soundtrack . Any excuse to reference my hero @DAVID_LYNCH
The other influences are more contemporary:
The production vibe influenced by the current Dirty bird stuff.
The 808 Bassline was inspired by Julio Bashmore’s style.
The chopped up vocal hook was inspired by Holy Other’s sound. Their Ep ‘With U’ was on loop in my home all of last year.
The arpeggiated Synths were done using my current favourite toy a Pocket Piano by @critterguitari
and my long standing best friend my Korg MS 20 which i bought on ebay from Japan about 5 years ago.
Also a U-he Diva Softsynth has been my recent secret weapon.
I tried to do something really out there with the vocal so it sounds like a weird synth part and slowly morphs in the the full vocal as her vocal is so ‘poppy’ i didn’t want to over do it.
I just used the backing vocals from the stems I got from Lana, i didn’t actually use her main lead vocal at all. The backing vocals were really dreamy and feel good.
If you listen to the Original, She sings really low and that didn’t work with the vibe i wanted to take this on.
Enjoy the free download and have a lovely day!

Next up is Mexico’s Bufi who creates an eclectic soundscape that teeters between disco and house. Understated and contemplative in the beginning, the track later explodes with handclaps and whirring synths. Bufi takes the disco-electro, new wave sound of the original & punches it into hyperspace – Gotta Dance Dirty
Rounding out the remixes is Wax Motif, whose take on “Dream of Bombay” is the perfect storm of electro-house. Progressive synth lines keep things building up until the very end, a masterpiece built for a club setting.
I would like to present to you all the second single “Roll With Me” featuring Simrin Jhangiani off my People I’ve Met EP dropping at the end of this month. “Roll With Me” features a consistant true to hip hop, piano led feel on the beat which was produced by Kelly Portis. Lyrically led by myself I was aiming to express a feel good worry free kind of vibe through the lyrics. Simrin compliments the track in a big way with soulful lyricism throughout which rounds out the track to give it that feel good sort of vibe I was shooting for.
Paws is a four song collection of atmospheric/abstract beats that will surely send you into a 9.8-minute, unknotting trance. Psymun (producer for Scienze, Co$$, K. Raydio, etc.) has proven with this EP that he is capable of making intricate, sample-free, glo-fi magic in a matter of hours (about 6 actually).
Psymun has a lot of projects in the works for 2013; full albums with Rich Garvey and Damacha are almost finished, as well as a remixed version of his critically acclaimed 2012 release, Rik Strrling. The remix project will include features from some of Psymun’s all-time favorite MCs and vocalists.
