TAILORED BY ENGLAND

umbrowallsFor the first time since 2002 Umbro is back on TV in the UK with the launch of a new TV commercial called “The Anthem”.

The World Cup inspires national unity and pride, people come together to share the moment in a way that is rarely experienced at any other time. We used this emotion as the heart of the idea for our commercial, which is an interpretation of the team line up before a game and is set toEngland’s national anthem “God save the Queen”. The ad further underlines the notion that the England kit stands for far more than just Football – it represents the unity of a nation regardless of religion, race or age.

The ad is breaking today online and on national TV. For two weeks it will run in youth programming on key TV channels, including music stations such as Viva and MTV. We will also invest heavily into our online presence and take-over home pages of sites such as The Sun, Facebook, MySpace, YouTube, SkySports and many others.

Check out the commercial below:

On Tuesday afternoon, Fabio Capello announced the names of the 23 players, who will represent England at the World Cup in South Africa. On Tuesday night a team of artists created the 23 murals across the country – an homage to the players selected to represent their country at the World Cup. Each location represents a significant location to the player – Rooney’s school, the leisure centre where Gerrard played football. Of course we also dedicated one wall in Italy to the man, who is making it all happen – Super Fabio.

PUSSYFOOT – April 2010: Knuckleballer Charlie Hough & The Crochet Museum

emailflyer100430April Athletic Supporters,

Noxious pine tar fumes, juicy tobacco spittle, bloody astroturf rugburns, pulled groin muscles and pore-clogging eye black…harbingers of both a new baseball season and the latest Rosin-tinged episode of PUSSYFOOT.

For the April 2010 show, Matt and Matt travel to the friendly confines of San Bernardino for an exclusive dugout sit-down with legendary knuckleball ace CHARLIE HOUGH. A former Dodger, Ranger, White Sock, and Marlin, Mr. Hough shares the secrets of the elusive pitch he honed throughout his fabled twenty-five year major league career. As the first athlete to grace the Pussyfoot airwaves, this world-famous knuckleballer also enjoys his current role as pitching coach for the INLAND EMPIRE 66ers.

But that’s not all, farmhands. While cinefile slugger BLAKE EVERETT enjoys some much needed time on the 15-day DL, perennial All-Star EDDIE ROUSE fields three questions from America’s heartland in a (surprise) expletive-laden ‘EDDIE’S SAGELIKE ADVICE.’ Then, fastpitch queen MISS SHELLEY steps up to the plate by paying proper respect to a fallen member of the oil firefighting community. And, on the heels of our March visit to Alma, Arkansas—the home of Popeye—Pussyfoot ‘pops in’ on a particularly hot corner of the California desert to take a gander at the CROCHET MUSEUM. Fashioned from the remnants of an old drive-thru fotobooth and curated by head skipper SHARI ELF and her trusty batboy RYAN, the Crochet Museum is a stunning lime-green oddball craft oasis.

All that plus a playlist culled from the waiver wire, peppered with bleacher faves from the likes of Ed Sanders, Mac Mall, Ikons, and Witch Zambia.

So c’mon, lace up those internet-radio cleats whydontcha? Only online athttp://www.thehomeofpussyfoot.com
