Boot Camp Clik Triple Threat Box Set (In Stores November 24th)

bootcampcliktriplethreatboxsetproductimageLimited-Edition 3 CD Collector’s Item For The Price of One; Perfect For The Holiday Season

The product for Boot Camp Clik’s Triple Threat Box Set is in. A beautiful case, which features all three albums from Boot Camp Clik’s 2005, Triple Threat Summer, is bound to sell-out quickly.

The Triple Threat campaign was groundbreaking. It marked the beginning of Sean Price’s solo career with his debut release, “Monkey Barz.” Fans were introduced to the witty word play of Sean Price as he displayed ignorance at its finest.

The campaign was the first time that grammy-award winning producer 9th Wonder teamed up with Buckshot, for their project, “Chemistry.” The pairing of an MC & Producer from outside camps, which at the time was a novel idea, has since become a more popular trend.

The Triple Threat series also brought the return of Smif N Wessun, who reverted back to their original group name for their album, “Reloaded.”

Marc Ecko and the Ecko Unltd Mindlabs created album artwork for the projects, which were illustrated, comic-book-like covers. When combining all three album covers they created one unique image.

On November 24th, fans will have the opportunity to purhase a 3 CD box set containing The Triple Threat albums. This limited-edition item, although 3 CDs, will be available for the price of ONE CD. The Box Set Case has been strategically designed to provide a wrap-around feel of all three-album covers placed together to form one complete and consistent image.

FOUR TIME GRAMMY NOMINATED REGGAE STAR BUJU BANTON WRAPS HISTORIC RASTA GOT SOUL US TOUR IN THE SUNSHINE STATE

105Music Video For New Single “Optimistic Soul” Documents Final Leg Of Outing -

- Florida American Civil Liberties Union Stands In Support Of The Artist -

Gargamel Music, Inc. is proud to announcethat four-time Grammy nominated Reggae icon Buju Banton successfully wrapped the final leg of his Rasta Got Soul US Tour with a string of successful dates in the Sunshine State last week. The roots rocking revue, which featured opening acts Gramps Morgan of Morgan Heritage, vocalists Nikki Burt and Angel Shalome, plus special guest Wayne Wonder, steered its way into Florida for five stellar performances in MelbourneJacksonvilleTampaMiami and Orlando.

In just seven short but eventful weeks, Banton, backed by his Shiloh Band, played jam packed venues in PhiladelphiaBladensburgProvidenceNew HavenPortlandBostonRochester,NewarkCharlotteNorfolkAnn ArborCincinnatiColumbusDenverAspenBerkeleySan FranciscoSanta RosaLos AngelesSan DiegoAlbuquerqueDallasAustinHouston andAtlanta. Despite the misguided efforts to derail his musical movement, Buju Banton’s Rasta Got Soul US Tour proved unstoppable with nearly 30,000 fans attending 32 shows across the country, making it the biggest-selling Reggae tour of the year.

The last few days of the Rasta Got Soul US Tour also served as the perfect backdrop to lens an accompanying video clip for Buju’s rousing new single “Optimistic Soul” and a special behind-the- scenes documentary short entitled This Is Buju Banton. Gargamel Music partnered with esteemed Atlanta-based photographer/videographer Zach Wolfe (www.zachwolfe.com), who simultaneously shot and directed both projects guerrilla style.

Meanwhile, the Florida chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) publicly chided the gay community for trying to silence Buju Banton for “Boom Bye Bye,” a twenty-year-old song that he does not promote, perform or profit from today. “It is disheartening that some of our colleagues in the gay and lesbian equality movement have embraced censorship as a tactic,” begins the official statement recently printed in the Op Ed section of the Miami Herald. “This is terribly short-sighted: Giving the government the power to censor messages it thinks are dangerous never advances the cause of equality and freedom.” READ COMPLETE ACLU STATEMENT HERE!

Jordan 2009 Designer, Jason Mayden

Jordan 2009

Jordan 2009

Excerpt of upcoming interview with Jason Mayden, Designer Jordan 2009

Did your own Chicago roots contribute to your role with the Jordan brand? Well, I had the privilege of watching Michael play, and those ties entitle me to give back to the community here and around the world. Regardless of where I am, I have something attached to my name that keeps me focused on a greater mission. Locally, we have athletes like Ray Allen, Rip Hamilton and Michael Finley who show up and do skills camps and breakfast clubs. I mentor students who want to get into design. We have a national program called Jordan Fundamentals. Internationally, we’re involved with a French street ball tournament, and MJ went to China several years back. Normally, there’s a barrier between athletes and their audience. We try and treat our consumers like family.

When did you first get to see Michael Jordan in the flesh? My dad took me to my first Bulls game in 1996, when they were playing the Philadelphia 76ers, just as Alan Iverson was coming into the league. We were in the nosebleed seats and I remember every head in the crowd turning in unison as he ran back and forth. Back then, wanted nothing more than to design a Jordan, and when I finally got to witness him as a living, breathing person, I knew my dream could come true.

For the latest Jordan shoe, were you drawing on past designs, or taking new inspiration from anything? We derived the aesthetic primarily from MJ’s sophistication on and off the court. If you look at the complete line, each shoe has a specific direct language that makes them unique and distinctly Jordan, so we continue forward with that look.

There was a time when it was all synthetics, and a lot of plastics, so how did you end up with satin and pleating on the upper part of the shoe? I’m a huge fan of martial arts, and the sport of fencing was an easy connection to make, since the footwork can also translate to basketball. The satin represents the clean aesthetic of Michael; the pleats build structure into the material. We wanted to reduce the amount of layers, increase the strength, but keep it sophisticated. The satin won’t get messed up, either – it’s engineered to outperform a lot of synthetics out there. The shoe is really based on MJ’s defensive mindset.
