The music of multi-talented Brian Dekker (Dekk) is as polished as his work ethic and vision. An executive music producer and co-founder of Spread, his background and knowledge of the history of Hip Hop are impressive, and his unique understanding of the genre shines through in his work. With openness to all forms of expression, Dekk infuses a collage of styles and genres, creating a sound that is both one of a kind and accessible. Combined with his talent and his infectious charisma, Dekk has established himself as a defining figure in Portland Hip Hop production and has also made a name for himself on the Internet with artists lining up from New York, Chicago, and Detroit. In 2009 Dekk joined forces with Portland MC Luck-One to create the critically acclaimed Beautiful Music EP. After a flurry of stellar reviews and a feature on CD Baby’s “Editors Pick”, the duo quickly became a sought after commodity in the Portland Hip Hop Community. In 2010 Dekk’s signature sound will once again join forces with Luck-One’s lyrical prowess, this time for a full-length album. Other future releases include full-length collaborations with Portland artists Illaj and Jay Child.
