The duo – made up of KK and Tha Gangsta D – have been making music since their days in elementary school and were a key part of the classic sound coming out of California in the 1990s. Proteges of DJ Quik, 2nd II None were one of the first West Coast rap groups to be signed to an East Coast label and their hits were featured on several projects, including the “Above The Rim” soundtrack.
Although they’ve taken a few hiatuses over the years, they want all their fans to know their new album won’t disappoint. They’ve just released these two previews called “All The Way” and “Special” which you can listen to and download below. To gear up for his 4/20 album release of The Book of David, DJ Quik teamed up with Los Angeles’ POWER 106 LA Leakers to release his mixtape, The Audio Biography of David. The mixtape embodies the essence of West Coast music, featuring classic songs and commentary from DJ Quik, as well as a few tracks off the new album.

Frank Nitt half of the celebrated duo Frank ‘n Dank does just that with“L.O.V.E.”. Frank tackles the subject matter with an honesty and directness that nearly betrays the feel-good subject matter the Detroit emcee typically brings to his listeners.
Nitt assembled an incredible cast to help bring his amorous creation to life. The track was produced by Terrace Martinand features both legendary West Coast rapper and producer DJ Quik and crooner J. Black. “He didn’t write anything down. He just went in and killed it, ” Frank said of his experience with DJ Quik in the studio. The chemistry is apparent, and Nitt knocks another one out the park for the storied Delicious Vinyl label. In fact, the combination of talent proved so potent, the track found its way to a spot on The L.A. Times coveted Pop And Hiss blog.
