In December King Roti will be releasing another single and video for his new song entitled: “Ek Sapna” (A Dream) featuring his new Mastermindz signee Indy. “Indy is a great addition to the label. She is a brilliant singer and brings a lot to table.” says Roti. Ek sapna is about a man and woman talking about what their dream man and woman would be like and how they would feel if they found that person. Roti promises to deliver another great single and video. He also mentioned as well that this will not be his last desi single as himself and Indy are working on a few more tracks and a major collaboration is in the works with a heavy weight in the Bhangra industry.
The South Asian rap scene has never been the same since King Roti entered the market over a year ago. Roti has been in the Canadian urban music scene since 2006 and has worked relentlessly to solidify his name in the world of rap music. Since his debut in the music scene, Roti has since released six mix tapes, four promo CDs, 6 videos and four radio singles; without a doubt, one can say he’s done quite well for himself, not to mention he’s done countless shows throughout the Toronto area. Although he gained a lot of respect in the Canadian hip hop arena he needed to further differentiate himself in a market that was filled with rappers. As a result, Roti decided to bring his music to the South Asian market that has welcomed with open arms and have embraced his style of music.
Roti’s fan base continues to grow everyday and the wide spread support from both the South Asian and Mainstream markets have helped Roti bring his music to new heights.
