Fresh off the American Music Awards with two unforgettable performances of “Empire State of Mind” with Jay-Z and her new single “Try Sleeping with a Broken Heart,” 12-time Grammy Award winner Alicia Keys goes into high gear with a whirlwind of activities in support of her fifth album The Element of Freedom out December 15 on MBK Entertainment/J Records.
In addition to “Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart” and “Doesn’t Mean Anything,” The Element of Freedom features Keys soulfully soaring solo version of “Empire State of Mind (Part II) Broken Down,” a beat-driven duet with Beyoncé on “Put It In A Love Song,” “Un-thinkable (I’m Ready)” with background vocals provided by Drake, the reggae-tinged “Love is My Disease,” a 80’s funk jam “This Bed” and more sonic gems. Keys recently made her national TV debut performance of “Try Sleeping with a Broken Heart” on Dancing With The Stars and recreated that magic Sunday night on the 2009 American Music Awards. Performances on The Today Show Outdoor Concert Series (11/24) and Oprah (11/30) where she joined country music superstar Tim McGraw for a duet performance of John Lennon, Yoko Ono and the Plastic Ono Band’s “Happy Xmas (War Is Over)” for the holiday show were spectacular. Alicia continues to spread holiday cheer on NBC’s Christmas at Rockefeller (12/2), followed by performances on Late Show with David Letterman(12/14), The Colbert Report (12/15), The View (12/16), BET 106 & Keys Live Special (12/16) and a return visit to The Today Show(12/17).

February 17th, 2009, in an effort to stimulate the U.S. economy, President Barack Obama signed into law The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, better known as the stimulus package. OnFebruary 16th of 2010, another bad brother Philadelphia Freeway, seizes the moment and sets out to stimulate the Hip Hop industry by signing into law the Hip Hop Recovery and Reinvestment Act with the release of his third official studio album The Stimulus Package.
Produced entirely by veteran G-Unit producer Jake One, The Stimulus Package showcases some of Freeway’s most dynamic and engaging work to date. The collaboration of these two heavyweights along with the strength of independent powerhouse Rhymesayers Entertainment makes The Stimulus Package already one of the year’s most anticipated releases.

JAY-Z’S THE BLUEPRINT 3 DEBUTS AT #1 IN CANADA
CANADIAN TOUR ANNOUNCED
Roc Nation recording artist Jay-Z has debuted in the #1 position in Canada on both the physical and digital sales charts with his latest album The Blueprint 3. A great feat considering the album was only eligible for three days on the weekly sales chart. This marks the first time in Jay-Z’s 11 album career that he tops the charts in Canada. In the U.S., all 11 albums have debuted at #1 and Jay-Z is now only behind the Beatles, having surpassed Elvis Presley, for the most #1 albums in history.
Released on Friday, September 11, The Blueprint 3 is the final installment in the Blueprint series which began in 2001. Production credits include Timbaland and Kanye West among others, as well as various superstar guests including Rihanna, Alicia Keys, Pharrell and Drake. The first single, “Run This Town,” is currently a Top 10 hit at Canadian radio and the video is in heavy rotation at MuchMusic.
