Beyonce and Jay-Z have embarked on a strict vegan diet challenge for the whole of December.
The couple is attempting to get healthy for the final month of 2013 by banishing meat and diary products from their home. The challenge comes as Jay-Z turned 44 on Wednesday.
The rapper took to his website to write, “On December 3rd, one day before my 44th birthday I will embark on a 22 Days challenge to go completely vegan, or as I prefer to call it, plant-based!! “This all began a few months back when a good friend and vegan challenged me to embrace a ‘plant-based breakfast’ everyday. “There’s something spiritual to me about it being my 44th birthday and the serendipity behind the number of days in this challenge; 22 (2+2=4) coupled with the fact that the challenge ends on Christmas day… It just feels right!”
The same day he posted news of his new diet, the couple was spotted eating at vegan restaurant Real Food Daily in West Hollywood, California.

MILC is a Hip-Hop/R&B Duo based out of NYC, consisting of members TyPhilly and RED. MILC’s music and vibe are similar to that of J. Cole, KiD CuDi and Justin Timberlake. The duo represent their neighborhoods, LES and Queens, along with the present day youth. With the help of up and coming producers Robi York and The Vamp, who have worked with Rocafella/Roc Nation, G-Unit, YMCMB, Dipset and others, they are ready to set the new tone in the music industry and set the bar to an extreme. Hard base and smooth melodies embody most of the music they create.
Tesla Boy shares the animated video for “Undetected” off their sophomore album The Universe Made of Darkness. Directed by UK-based animator Noriko Okaku, the video premieres today on Jay-Z’s Life + Times and shows the inner illustrated workings of Tesla Boy’s mind. Colorful shapes and lines dance around band members Anton Sevidov, Leo Zatagin and Mike Studnitsyn to the chilled-out tropical marimba beat of the song.
“Undetected” is the latest look at Tesla Boy’s sophomore album The Universe Made of Darkness, a 12-track album that sounds like the ’80s filtered through a modern lense. In May, the band premiered “M.C.H.T.E.” on VICE’s NOISEY, an impeccable pop gem with shimmering synths and an undeniably catchy chorus. Heavy percussion and a rhythmic, funky bass line round out a track that has all the makings of a feel good brat pack flick. Next Tesla Boy released “Broken Doll” featuring the soulful vocals of London crooner Tyson. Indie Shuffle says, “if I were to come out of retirement and don my luchador mask once again, this track would be my entrance music.” Tyson’s R&B vocals add a layer of sensuality to the track that works in perfect harmony with the deep, looping synth. Another stand out track is “Dream Machine”; chiming disco overlays and dreamscape synths in the bridge work together to create this euphoric opener. Finally, the album wraps up with “1991″, an intoxicating summer dance track and perfect closer to a varied and carefully constructed narrative.
The idea of this verse is to depict a woman’s view of herself as she goes through being on “The Scene.” Using the “Picasso Baby” (off Jay-Z’s latest album Magna Carta Holy Grail) instrumental was an idea thrown at me by Shea Serrano of The Houston Press in a tweet.
Never hearing the song allowed me creative freedom seeing as I had no precedent to bind my creativity.
Using several artistic references and allusions to the most famous paintings ever, my intention was to create layers. Look at this whole verse from the perspective of the girl. She feels like a piece or art. A work of art. We see these girls all the time and call them a piece of work. I wanted to use paintings, art, movies and so on to illustrate that duality. And within each perspective, the title of each painting serves as a double entendre or a description of the girl at a present moment.
She goes from naive, to taken advantage of and misled, to falsely confident, to dangerous, to reeling, to the bottom of the barrel.
Enjoy and thanks for reading and listening.

The first Forbes 400 Summit was surreal, amazing and, in the end, moving. We gassed up a Gulfstream 450 one warm September morning and flew one of the most successful recording artists of all time, Jay-Z, to meet the most successful investor of all time, Warren Buffett, on the latter’s home turf of Omaha, Neb. The intent was to capture their very different perspectives on success and wealth and to talk about the social obligations that come with each. They ended up finding out they had more in common than anyone would have expected between a 40-year-old rapper from the Brooklyn projects and the 80-year-old sage of compounded returns.
The main event was an hourlong, videotaped talk at Buffett’s office building.

The look in Angel Haze’s eyes when she’s talking about rap is enough to distinguish her from any other emcee making noise right now. She’s 20, hyper-articulate, intense and she spits from the head and the heart.

He is not only a considered one of the top underground artists already, but a breath of fresh air by many. Sullee J can kill a beat, commit open heart surgery on it and bring it right back to life. He is known for his consistent positivity, extravagant lyricism, and prolific word play.
He has opened for major artists in the past such as, DMX, Mos Def, Jay Sean, Maino, Travis Porter, Waka Flaka, DJ Whoo Kid, and shared the stage with other underground legends like Lowkey etc.
He just recently released a song with Legendary Canibus, and is on the verge of releasing another hit with artist “Diabolic” from War Horse Records on March 1st. I am hoping you can feature today’s single being released, which is a remix to Jay-z and Kanye’s latest track “No Church in the Wild”.
