Kae Sun Releases Music Video for “On The Lookout”
URBNET recording artist Kae Sun is pleased to announce the release of his latest music video “On The Lookout” from his acclaimed full-length album “Lion On A Leash.” The video continues Kae’s winning streak in 2010, which has included a tour of Canadian cities coast to coast. This year has also seen Kae Sun perform on several Canadian television channels including YTV, while his songs have appeared on both the prime-time TV program CSI and CTV Olympics coverage.
Canadian independent music authority Exclaim recently praised Kae Sun, describing his act as a “rootsy suite of tortured soul peppered with impassioned, rapid-fire raps and righteous reggae turns,” concluding that he is an “observational urban poet” that observers need to “keep an eye on in the near future.” The video for “On The Lookout” directed by Harv for 235 Films, only adds flame to the fire, with Kae Sun laying down his characteristic verse over a well-considered and perceptive groove locked down by Kae talents as a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist.
Born in Ghana, Kae Sun moved to Hamilton Ontario as a teen to complete his academic studies and soon began turning heads with his distinct voice and folky-hip-hop charm. By 2006 he had won a Hamilton Music Award which led to opening slots for such Canadian hip-hop luminaries like k-os and Shad. The buzz around him grew as he played Guelph’s Hillside Festival and Pop Montreal, leading to his current deal with URBNET and the release of his much-praised debut record “Lion On A Leash” last October
Kae Sun – Winter Tour Announced
After releasing his debut album in October, touring Dubai and the UK in November, and December earning him some great industry accolades including: Itunes Rewind 2009, a placement on CSI, and an Independent Music Awards Nomination. 2010 is set to be a great year for Kae Sun, starting the year off with one of his Songs included as part of CTVs Music Of The Nation for the Vancouver 2010 Olympics, and todays announcement that Coast To Coast won the Independent Music Award. Kae will be touring Ontario and Manitoba throughout February, so be sure to catch him in your city.
