015SELECT DATES SUPPORTING LITTLE BOOTS BEGIN MARCH 2nd IN NEW YORK, LEADING UP TO SXSW

Vancouver’s Fan Death (aka Dandilion Wind Opaine and Marta Jaciubek-McKeever) have just announced a series of highly anticipated live shows this March, bringing their beautifully dark, theatric take on classic electronic pop to many North American cities for the first time.  On tour supporting the UK’s electro-pop phenom Little Boots, dates begin March 2nd in New York, concluding with several appearances at SXSW to be announced.

Recently amassing over 100,000 YouTube views alone for their cinematic videos “Reunited” and “Cannibal“, the duo will also join Vampire Weekend next month for their European tour, including many sold-out UK venues.  The tour will showcase brand new material from the upcoming Last Gang Records release A Coin For The Well (out February 23rd) and offer a first look of what to expect from the debut album Womb Of Dreams (slated for a May release).

Already hailed as “our new favorites!” in 2010 by Perez Hilton and supported early on by SPIN, The Fader, and NYLON, among others, Fan Death are poised to stun audiences with their thrilling live shows throughout 2010.

FAN DEATH SIGN TO LAST GANG RECORDS, ANNOUNCE NORTH AMERICAN RELEASE OF EP AND ALBUM

75The multifaceted Vancouver, BC-based group Fan Death have announced the signing to Last Gang Records for the release of their debut EP A Coin For The Well, out February 23rd.  Beginning as a project between vocalist Dandilion Wind Opaine and Marta Jaciubek-McKeever in addition to their own solo musical endeavors, Dandi joined with frequent collaborator Szam Findlay to produce Fan Death in 2007.  An elegiac revision of classic electronic pop, Fan Death recall the darkest elements of early OMD, Depeche Mode, and Human League combined with Cerrone worthy symphonic arrangements to create contemporary anthems of morose celebration.

Launching 2008 with their single “Veronica’s Veil” on Erol Alkan’s Phantasy label, Fan Death’s visual presence gained international attention in part due to the iconic realizations of their music.  Two videos from the upcoming EP have been released to date, the ethereal “Reunited” directed by Dandilion herself and “Cannibal” [mp3].  Fan Death are currently at work finishing their full-length Womb Of Dreams, slated for an May 2010 release.
