Sam Raimi to direct Radical’s Earp
Radical Publishing is proud to announce that director Sam Raimi (Spider-Man, Evil Dead) has signed on to produce and direct the film adaptation of EARP: SAINTS FOR SINNERS, based on Radical Publishing’s miniseries created by Matt Cirulnick and David Manpearl and written by Matt Cirulnick and M. Zachary Sherman. EARP: SAINTS FOR SINNERS will be produced by Mandeville Films partners David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman for DreamWorks with Matt Cirulnick attached to write the screenplay. Radical’s President and Publisher, Barry Levine, and Raimi’s partner at Star Road Entertainment, Josh Donen, will also produce with Radical Studios’ Executive Vice President Jesse Berger, Cirulnick and Manpearl signed on as Executive Producers.
In a world where the American economy has all but collapsed to the levels of the Great Depression, infamous bandits roam the country and the law is as corrupt as the criminals its sworn to stop. Yet one lawman remains a steadfast moral compass for the people: WYATT EARP. Earp has collared more most-wanted men than anyone in history – but after a violent assignment claims the life of his brother, Wyatt sets out to forge a simple life in the only boomtown left: Las Vegas. With gorgeous women and free-flowing money on endless tap, Sin City attracts more people than a modern gold rush. Though Earp no longer wears a U.S. Marshall’s badge, his past is about to catch up to him. With nearly everything to lose, Earp will have to beat the odds stacked against him in order to bring old-fashioned justice to Sin City.
DARE TO UNVEIL HUNTER MOVIE DESIGNS
Dare Comics, a young upstart in a world of publishing giants, is unveiling concept designs for The Hunter feature film at San Diego Comic-Con next week, to give fans a sense of how the comic will translate to film.
Australian director Shane Abbess, noted for directing feature film Gabriel, has been instrumental in shaping the strong aesthetic.
Dare Comics writer and founder, Adam Hamdy, says working with Shane has been a fantastic experience. “Right from the start, he wanted to take The Hunter beyond a standard superhero movie. In addition to action sequences that will blow people’s minds, we’ve been working hard on building strong, believable characterization, and compelling story lines. There’s a depth to the film that is mirrored in its unique visual style, which can only be described as high-technology meets dark romance,” Hamdy says. “We’re excited to share the designs with fans. We’re working hard to ensure that The Hunter feature film is an original, entertaining experience.”
It’s been a wild ride for Dare Comics. Founded in 2007, Dare’s debut publication, The Hunter, launched in December 2007, quickly earning widespread critical acclaim, and achieving great commercial success, with a growing readership that has already topped 130,000 worldwide. An animated comic series of The Hunter is already in production, with development continuing on a feature film and video game.
The Hunter is proving to be more of a success than Hamdy ever imagined. “I had the crazy idea to create a superhero for the 21st Century and wrote his debut as a 272 page series. It was a mammoth undertaking without the resources of a big publisher behind us. Thankfully, like all the best independent, guerilla initiatives, The Hunter has captured imaginations around the world. Younger fans love that Hunter is a cool, stylish superhero, while older fans identify with the outsiders in the story – most notably Freak.”

SNOOP DOGG RETURNS WITH “MORE MALICE: DELUXE ALBUM AND MOVIE” ON MARCH 23rd
FIRST SINGLE FROM FORTHCOMING ALBUM, “I WANNA ROCK” REMIX FEATURING JAY Z, AVAILABLE ON ITUNES ON JANUARY 26th
NEW ALBUM INCLUDES MINI-MOVIE DVD STARRING SNOOP DOGG,
JAMIE FOXX, XZIBIT, NIPSEY HUSSLE AND MORE
Snoop Dogg announced that he will release the follow up to his latest release entitled More Malice: Deluxe Album and Movie on March 23rd. The new album will feature 5 songs from the previously released “Malice N Wonderland” along with 5 entirely new songs and 2 remixes. Included with More Malice will be a never-before-seen mini-movie entitled Malice N Wonderland The Movie which features Snoop in the title role with cameos from Jamie Foxx, Xzibit, Nipsey Hussle and more.
The first highly anticipated single from More Malice is the remix to fan favourite “I Wanna Rock” featuring superstar Jay Z. The two kings from their respective coasts take turns on the mic on this Scoop Deville produced club anthem. The single will be available on iTunes on January 26th. Additionally, the Snoop Dogg and Soulja Boy song, “Pronto,” gets the remix treatment with Southern alum Bun B jumping on the track.
In addition to new music, the 40 minute action packed movie included in the package tells the story of superhero Malice (played by Snoop Dogg) in his hometown of crime plagued Wonderland. The safety of the city is up to Malice who fights crime and strives to bring peace back to his neighborhood. Music from the accompanying album is featured throughout the dramatic film.
Snoop says, “The response to Malice N Wonderland has been so incredible that I had to drop another banger for the fans. They have been asking for more – so I’m giving them More Malice! I also wanted everyone to get something special so we are adding a mini-movie to the mix – with me in the starring role. The homie Jamie Foxx came through to be a part of it as well – between the action and the storyline, people are in for a big surprise.
