HOT!!! Chris Brown feat Opium Black & Maino – DEUCES REMIX!!!

Chris Brown’s #1 hit gets remixed by 2 of East Coast’s hardest working: Opium Black & Maino. Both rappers spit situational scenarios that complement Chris’ bye-bye attitude on the song.

Maximum Balloon ‘Groove Me’ (feat. Theophilus London) (Jneiro Jarel Remix)

While TV On The Radio recharge their batteries post-Dear Science whirlwind, resident technician Dave Sitek is using time off to blow up Maximum Balloon, his new solo-producer-plus-guest-vocalists recording endeavor. Among the record’s list of collaborators is Brooklyn phenom Theophilus London, who wound up voicing the next single “Groove Me,” which sounds like a less obtuse, more futuristic TVOTR with heavier drums. Not mad at that, obviously. It’s been overhauled here by DOOM collaborator and Philly beat guru Jnerio Jarel—his version is a little less cocksure, a little more teetering, buzz-drunk synths splayed out over able MPC juggling.

WAYNE MARSHALL ‘My Heart’

With a new found energy and distinct sense of strategy shown on his most recent projects, dancehall’s most noted singjay Wayne Marshall has undoubtedly made the best comeback since the start of the new year with a steady number of hits currently in rotation on local and international radio airwaves.

Marshall who is a member of the Solid Agency roster has once again found favor in the industry spotlight with songs like “So Superfly” which features Mr. Raver Clavers himself Ding Dong and more recently “My Heart” a track dedicated to the topic of infidelity that also features the Gully God Mavado on the Official Remix.

Outside of recording music Marshall has been marketing his new image with a number of cameo appearances including a feature in international rapper Drake’s “Find Your Love” Music Video and also the Sean Kingston and Nicki Minaj video for their collab “Letting Go / Dutty Love” shot on location in Ochi Rios in early July.

My Heart is, by far, one of the best to be released by a Jamaican artiste. New Caribbean Cinema’s Michelle Serieux is the producer, and Storm Saulter, the director/editor, as well as stylist, Anya Ayoung-Chee (former Mis Trinidad & Tobago), they all teamed up to create a stellar visual experience that meets international standards. It is evident that a storyboard was drafted and adhered to in this structured, creative and coherent production.

From the location of the shoot to wardrobe and casting choices, one word – flawless. The plot of My Heart (Remix) is very realistic and brilliantly executed. Director Storm left no room for boredom with multi-angled camera shots and multiplexed/split screens, which give the viewer the illusion of being in a hi-def closed-circuit monitoring station. The use of this technique was a great idea, considering that we are in the age of attention deficit disorder (ADD), as each shot reveals newly discovered interpretations of the scenes. This will serve to make the video ‘fresh’ for an extended period of time.

The My Heart (Remix) video has easily etched its place among the most impressive ‘homegrown’ music videos. Memorable and deserving of every accolade it gets, this visual masterpiece complements a song that speaks earnestly of a human experience. It will certainly continue to resonate with music lovers well into the future.

Greg Nice ‘Motherf#ck@’ (Nick Catchdubs ‘Motherf#ck@s In Space’ Mix)

Rap veteran Greg Nice (of seminal Bronx duo Nice & Smooth) returns to the game this summer withPopcycle, his first solo album and an induction of sorts into the realm of modern club music. First single “Mothef#ck@” already has a video sporting cameos from a litany of important DJs new and old, among them Fool’s Gold’s Nick Catchdubs, who also assembled this sub-rattling, Baltimore flavored refit. We wish you the best of luck in expelling its drawl-mouthed hook from your brain.

St. Joe Louis “Electric Company (Remix)” Produced By J57

stjoelouisremixAfter several car accidents and losing close loved ones while recording 2 shelved projects St. Joe Louis is sometimes referred to as the Final Destination group. The Almost There EP: Remixes is another step toward changing that outlook as they prepare to finally release there long delayed full length project 30,000 Ft High and Rising this month.
St. Joe Louis is a trio composed of Elete (producer/emcee), Tom Chase (emcee) and Michael Cardigan (emcee). Dj Power remixes World Cup Anthem “Waving Flag” with Knaan & Machel Montano!

dj-power-wavin-flag-remixWith the immense success of Knaan’s song “Waving Flag”, it was only right for it to be used as a theme song for the FIFA World Cup. Thanks to award wining remix king DJ Power & co-producer Watts, an electro style remix featuring International Soca star Machel Montano has been crafted to the number one track in 11 countries worldwide.

The World Cup is a chance for the world to support their country and what better song to use for that pride than a song whose chorus tells people to “wave your flag.” DJ Power and Watts put a different twist on the record though, giving it an electro/dance feeling to it that will no doubt make this song a summer smash. The great arrangement courtesy of Power, Watts and Dj K-note along with the live percussion by Tribal Rhythm Nation and the new lyrics added by Knaan and Machel Montano increase the feeling of camaraderie and competition that the tournament is known for.

DJ Power is known as “The Soul Controller” or “Remix King” for his award winning mix cds (Justo’s Mixtape award N.Y.) and his chart topping remixes such as his work on the Platinum selling Mims “This is Why I’m Hot” remix ft. Junior Reid and Baby Cham. His radio show “Outta Control Radio” (www.outtacontrolradio.com) with host Mad Linx (BET) reaches millions of listeners worldwide and is globally syndicated through Radio Express Inc. in California. Constantly touring the club circuit he recently returned from shows in Australia and the Blueprint 3 afterparties featuring Memphis Bleek throughout North America. This summer he is scheduled to dj afterparties for dates on the Black Eyed Peas tour as well as new remix and mixtape releases.

After years of pounding at the backstage door, it’s pretty much official: dance music is the new punk rock. CBGBs is no more, and guitars are swiftly being eclipsed by laptops, but the DIY aesthetic is alive and well. So it’s only fitting that the future of American dance music should emerge in the form of two New England Art Institute grads, Josh Shifrin and Paul Mihailoff, who left behind their punk rock and hip-hop pasts to form Plus Move, an electronic act obsessed with the future. And for good reason – they’ve been there.

“It’s kind of weird how we got into this,” Mihailoff admits, recalling a time back in Boston before they learned the art of time travel. Both he and Shifrin were playing in rock bands, with their only common thread was a shared interest in Radiohead. “I was actually into producing hip-hop beats when we first met, and I threw Daft Punk in the same category as the bland, repetitive, four-on-the-floor stuff that I couldn’t get into. But once I understood the energy behind it, I started listening to all the other French producers.”

Plus Move got everyone’s attention when they leaked their bootleg remix of Justice’s funk-squelch anthem “D.A.N.C.E” to some of their favorite music blogs back in the summer of 2007. “We first heard the song as a radio rip,” Shifrin recalls. “It wasn’t even the full song or the final version, but we fell in love with it and immediately chopped the shit out of the track to get rid of the radio noise, re-worked it completely and sent it back out to every blog that we liked. Before we knew it, we were getting emails from people all over the world.”

After releasing the 2099 EP in 2008, Plus Move are back and on FIRE. In addition to the release of “Worthy,” plans include the release of “Just Me” EP and a maxi single to set up the new full-length album due for a fall release. Check this shit out and wear it down!

Justin Hines South Africa Remix and Ontario Shows

REMIX LAUNCHES CAMPAIGN FOR SOUTH AFRICAN CHILDREN

VIDEO AIRING DURING WORLD CUP

When Bell Sympatico’s inDiscover.net debuted the video of the new remix of JUSTIN HINES’ 2009 hit, “Say What You Will” from his new “SOUTH AFRICA” EP, the powerful Internet portal also launched Justin’s campaign to help build schools and further education in South Africa. (View the new video at http://www.rapp.co.za/).

The 2009 hit, “Say What You Will” from Hines’ Chasing Silver album was originally embraced by an international audience and was the most downloaded singer-songwriter track on iTunes within 48 hours of its release. It was also one of the most emailed videos on Sympatico.ca.

When South African Producer Bronwen Nel felt that “Say What You Will” would resonate profoundly within her community she remixed it for her market with the Seta/Siyaya Learner Choir and the Keynote Acapella Group, prompting Justin’s film crew to head to South Africa, in May, to shoot a new music video.

Incorporating school choirs, the video continues the “white-board” mash-up that made the domestic version so popular. The crew not only captured the struggles and the challenges of the children evident at Despatch and St. Elizabeth primary schools but also found inspiration in the joy and hope at Oprah Winfrey’s Angel Network-supported7 Fountains primary school. The video depicts a South Africa somewhat different than many of us may be familiar with. Even Archbishop Desmond Tutu created his own whiteboard message of hope for the video and so began Justin’s “Say What You Will – Give What You Will” fundraising drive. 50% of all sales will benefit the Stephen Leacock Foundation for Children, which has a presence in South Africa and The Association for the Physically Disabled (Eastern Cape) as well as several other charities.

The “South Africa” EP includes the “Say What You Will” and Chasing Silver” remixes as well as Courage (Come Out To Play)” and the South African version of the “Say What You Will” video. The video is available for viewing and purchase at http://www.rapp.co.za/. The full EP, available at inDiscover.net, is being broadcast in South Africa during the World Cup.

Armageddon, Fat Joe, N.O.R.E. & Doo Wop – It’s Over Remix

profile_armageddonThe wait is now over for Armageddon‘s latest single, It’s Over (Remix) featuring Fat Joe, N.O.R.E. & DJ Doo Wop on SoFlo Entertainment. With a play on words, director Exile Ramirez and cinematographer Brian Przypek compose the visual realities and dynamics involved with entering the rap game as Armageddon, Fat Joe and N.O.R.E. give their uncompromising honesty in taking down any “weak emcee.” In this video, Fat Joe and N.O.R.E. make it a statement to point out and capture these individuals who have no place in the industry and pass them up to Armageddon for the final slaughter. It is a bold statement, but given with an undeniable wordplay. Anyone thinking otherwise is welcomed to say so themselves at Twitter.com/GeddyMusic.
